The Mega Halo

It's a big persons Matrix!
It's bigger than an Edge in foot room, cockpit area and volume.
It has more rocker it the tail and a little less in the nose.
It has a more tapered in at the tail than a Proton finished with a squared off rear.
Volume has been added in the foot , hip and backside area to give more comfort without any hinderance or compromise to performance.
It has more agressive fin placement than Edge or Proton.

So. I finally got to take the Halo out and in short it's great!

It’s easy to paddle out, the entry rocker is predictable for take offs and the curvature has given it a solid but predictable feel through the turns.
In terms of float I was fine in it, currently weighing in at a svelt 17st. It was snug to get my 6’5 frame in and out of but I'll have a play with the thigh brace position to improve it or me.

The Halo has all of the Mega speed that you'd expect but with the right shapes it is easy throw around to, so much so that I even punted air out the top which is a rare event for me post 40. I’m desperately keen to get out in it again, which is always the sign of a good boat. Awesome!

Hi, just a quick message to give you a bit of positive feedback on the new Halo I've just bought.
Initial thoughts on size and design are that its an excellent boat for the slightly larger paddler, not as big as a Scarab but perfect for me. I'm 13 1/2 stone and its perfect for me once foam fitted to pad out a little.
Paddling out I noticed that it paddles faster on flat than my Proton. No problem getting out back as it hops over white water piles easily without back looping. No problem duck diving it either under oncoming walls of water.
Picks up waves nice and easy due to quick straight line speed. Late drops are helped with the good dose of stern rocker. Its a common misconception among paddlers that they think you need lots of bow rocker to aid steep take offs, but in my experience its in fact the stern rocker that's needed here and this boat has it.
Maneuverability is excellent. Its like you just have to think of turning and the boat just does it. Very quick turns. Also getting back to the lip of the wave in this boat is super easy, as with airs.
Coming back down to land off some lip maneuvers where I was expecting the nose to dig in and end in catastrophic ride over --- no, it just starts planing and your away at warp speed with a big grin on your face. If your a competent paddler this boat is an absolute dream.
Any downsides ----- not that I can think of. Its the boat that I've been waiting to be developed for years. Well done guys.
